Please join us for the artists’ walk-through featuring Scott Benzel, Tanya Brodsky, Kristin Posehn, and Alice Könitz, and a closing reception for the exhibition "Wilds of epiphenomena". The event will be accompanied by a musical performance by Andrew Moses, who will present his newest composition. (Untitled), 2024, voice-to-skull devices, MOSQUITO malware, Smirnov and Poynting vector emitters, and Hemi-Sync difference tones accessed by four custom, wheel-based string instruments. His performance situates covert sonic military intelligence devices in feedback. Andrew Moses is an interdisciplinary artist, composer, and clarinetist living in Los Angeles. His work has been presented by venues such as LA Phil’s Noon to Midnightand Green Umbrella series, Ojai Music Festival, Indexical, PHASE Gallery, Shapeshifter Lab, Kwai Tsing Theatre, Yellow Barn, and Hear Now Music Festival. His work has been performed by ensembles such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, International Contemporary Ensemble, Wild Up, Curtis Symphony Orchestra, and Mivos, Argus, Calder, and Zorá string quartets. He has an MFA in Art and Technology from the California Institute of the Arts and a BM in Composition as Anthony B. Creamer III Fellow at the Curtis Institute of Music.
