Multi-colored mesh nettings dangle atop shoestrings suggestive of human anatomy; skyscrapers, valleys, and canyons enshroud wooden panels. Buttons hang from a metal rod, melting into bright, abstract shapes before resting atop a block of wood. The sculptures of B. Wurtz acknowledge the possibilites of the disposable, proffered through reconfigurations of form and function, color and sly wordplay. Doubling as totems and playful bricolages composed of quotidian refuse, the sculptures find poetry in evolving arrangements.
