The Good Luck Gallery is delighted to present Issue 3: A Group Show with Creative Growth, opening October 20, 2018. The exhibition features seven established and emerging artists working out of the acclaimed Creative Growth Art Center (Est. 1974), a progressive art studio in Oakland, CA that serves artists with developmental, mental, and physical disabilities. Curated in conjunction with the launch of Creative Growth Magazine: Issue 3, which is “devoted to the mysteries of the unknown, whether it is paranormal contact, the transformative alchemy of collaboration, or the imaginative power of art itself,” the exhibition includes delicate, fantastical watercolors by Aurie Ramirez; the uncanny anthropomorphic collages of John Hiltunen; and idealized, socially conscious portraits by William Scott. Textiles, ceramics, and mixed media sculptures by other gifted artists - including Christine Szeto, Latefa Noorzai, Ying Ge Zhou, and Ruth Stafford - will also be featured in this celebratory exhibition.
