ltd los angeles is pleased to present Felix Treadwell's inaugural US exhibition. With this body of work, Felix, as in works from the last few years, has generated a cast of characters and placed them in physical and emotional dialog. However, the artist has now begun to consider community in an expanded sense, beyond the merely human, toward the broader community of earthly beings. Plants, animals, even raindrops have agency, presence, feelings. These qualities allow for an empathic relationship between object and viewer, a more horizontal relationship, more network than hegemony.
