The Wandering Lake, 2009—2017 presents a groundbreaking project that combines Patty Chang’s work across varying platforms. From her tough-to-take, boundary-busting performance-video work that explored the complex psychic narrative behind often visceral solo performances, to more recent experimental films and lecture-performances, Chang has challenged the parameters of performance and its power as a storytelling vehicle.
