Whether it’s one of love and pain, growth and destruction, magnificence or intimacy, our relationship is a uniquely personal one. The Los Angeles Printmaking Society was founded in 1963 to encourage the awareness and appreciation of printmaking as an art form. This Spring we are honored to have the well known Los Angeles-based multi-media artist, Merion Estes, as our juror. Estes was the subject of a powerful 20-year retrospective recently on view at the Craft and Folk Art Museum; “Merion Estes: Unnatural Disasters.” As Christopher Knight, of the LA Times observed, “in Estes’ extravagant paintings, not only do exquisite nature, abhorrent degradation, opulence, and death coincide. They are inseparable.” All Ages/Free
