Cathedral Presents Disasters in Progres - a collection of oil paintings by San Francisco based artist Deirdre Ferrell White. The artist’s works intertwine personal narrative with collective anxieties. The paintings are both a critique and love affair with the west coast. Disasters in Progress touch on themes of shelter and vulnerability. There is a visual paradox of an unsustainable “American dream” juxtaposed with endless manufactured desire built on the loss and nostalgia of a dying empire.
