At the core of that script was the “Poem for the community,” a premonition of impending violence against artists. On June 19th through the 21st, Getnick presents a display of ceramics, large tapestries and works on paper that further explore the precarity of artists working within an era of punitive logic. The monument to Prometheus Bound will also be on display. This event is a preview of a solo show and performance debuting at HRLA in the fall of 2019. Artwork will be up for sale with proceeds supporting the artist’s project and HRLA.
