SHOW 1: Brandon Landers: Aretha M+B is pleased to present Aretha, an exhibition of new paintings by Brandon Landers, the artist’s first solo show with the gallery. Brandon Landers makes paintings that are raw, intense and intimate. Drawn from memories of everyday life in South Central Los Angeles, his works depict family and friends as well as imagined scenes that reflect an intuitive, sensitive handling of both material and subject matter. Aretha debuts candid new portraits by Landers, in addition to larger scale paintings. SHOW 2: Leo Mock: “. . . and still somehow” M+B is pleased to present “. . . and still somehow”, an exhibition of new paintings by Leo Mock, the artist’s first solo exhibition with the gallery. Enigmatic seasides. Clouds plow the skies in surging stormy blacks and ice creamy heaps colored by the shifting lights seeped through LA sunsets and licked by JMW Turner. The sky hues and hazes with ancient harmonies, darkling blues into ethereal seafoam greens, the sun wearing all its age on her face like a yolky dowager, losing not one golden shimmer of radiant grandeur. SHOW 3: Case Simmons: One By One M+B is pleased to present One By One, an exhibition of new work by Case Simmons, the artist’s first solo show with the gallery. Simmons is best known for his large-scale digital collages that combine imagery from pop culture, social history and the arts. Culling thousands of images from disparate sources online, the artist re-contextualizes these visual elements, stitching them together into richly detailed worlds. ------- I will attach an image for the Brandon Landers show below - please let me know if we can provide images for Case Simmons and Leo Mock as well (this is not a group show but three individual solo shows).
