July 27 - September 28, 2019 Opening reception: July 27 Saturday, 4:30 - 7:30 pm There are many kinds of different materials which were regarded as art mediums. Each material has its own language, through the artist’s hands to represent artist’s thought and usage of the material. Kylin gallery is pleased to present group exhibition Ideas about materials: Asian contemporary sculptures, the exhibition brings group of Asian artists sculptures from past decades. The material range from natural to synthetic and soft to firm. All the exhibition artists have cultured very closed relationship with their materials, which those materials already became a symbol of the artists’ expression. Four artists will be featured in the exhibition: wood sculpture by Sedi Pak, paper sculpture by Yoshio Ikezaki, clay sculpture by Jinhe Wong and stone sculpture by Yoshikawa. Artists Sedi Pak and Yoshikawa will be present at the opening reception on Saturday, July 27 from 4:00 — 7:30 p.m. “Ideas about materials: Asian contemporary sculptures” will run through September 28, 2019.
