Fabrik Projects presents a solo show "In Bloom" which features the abstract paintings of Sharon Weiner. The show will run from October 26th through November 23rd, 2019. Sharon Weiner’s paintings come out of personal experiences, including conscious and unconscious dynamics. None of this is “coded” into the work, nor do the paintings simply embody her emotions. Rather, they visualize the process of self-revelation in a kind of internal dialogue. From a family of psychoanalysts, her exposure and personal experience of the practice of holistic psychoanalysis has been long and sustained, providing her with an unusual awareness of her own consciousness. As a result, she knows better than to recount her experience in her art; instead she gives visual form to what experiencing her life feels like-indeed, to what awareness itself, an abstract concept, feels like.
