Hey Lover Letters (2019-2021) is our inaugural show. We will be hosting a socially distanced opening reception May 1 from 5pm – 8pm, and will be showing the work by appointment until May 30. Lindeman’s Hey Lover Letters is a mixed media installation that explores concepts and imagery relating to family, origins, patriarchy, death, and love. Lindeman’s work often mixes oxytocin hormones with pigments and paint on paper and canvas. Oxytocin acts as a neurotransmitter in the brain and is involved in a lot of complex brain activity like bonding and trusting; The hormone plays an exceptionally important role in the evolution of humans and progress of humankind. These encasements, as she calls them, have a subtle effect on pigments and color over time and create a beautiful and complex narrative.
