Decemvirale and artist and C.O.L.A. Visual Art Fellow Ruben Ochoa for an hour-long conversation discussing, Las Tortillas (2021), Ochoa’s most recent commission for the LA Municipal Art Gallery. For the duration of the exhibition, Las Tortillas will be exhibited in another of Ochoa’s artworks, CLASS: C, the legendary Chevy van with a mobile gallery in the back which served Southern California from 2001-2005. The event will begin with a brief history of mobile art projects in Los Angeles and move into a deep dive into the centrality of these projects in Ochoa’s career and life.
