SHOW ME YOUR PONY (pictured) June 18 - July 17, 2021 Opening June 18th, SHOW ME YOUR PONY, is a sly homage to contemporary art's ceaseless quest to manipulate surfaces. (The title is inspired by Clyfford Still's stark finishes that were often compared to ravaged animal hides.) The show is curated by Ellie Rines and features work by the extended family of artists who show at 56 Henry: Cynthia Talmadge, (downtown OG) Joanna Greenbaum, Sadie Laska, Jo Messer, Kunle Martins, Lakela Brown, Sam Moyer, Richard Tinkler, and Monsieur Zohore. --------------- Daniela Cueva: Obsidian Edge June 18 - July 17, 2021 One Trick Pony gallery is pleased to host the second exhibition in our project space: Obsidian Edge by artist Daniela Cueva and presented by OOF Books. As the title of the exhibition implies, the work that the artist displays here occupies a liminal space between these two influences. Cueva’s pieces teeter on the edge between newer and older technologies as well as cold austerity and visceral, organic forms to question the limits of the body and its creative and technological extensions.
