M+B is pleased to present Fumbly Punts, an exhibition of new paintings by Rob Thom. The artist’s second solo show with the gallery runs from October 23 through December 4, 2021 at our M+B Doheny gallery, with an opening reception on Saturday, October 23 from 6 to 8 pm. Rob Thom’s densely allegorical paintings are keen, satirical observations of contemporary life. The artist brings a particular carnival of American grotesque onto the canvas with wry humor, painstaking observation and deft skill. Rob Thom’s compositions vividly capture everyday life and all the banal and absurd vagaries of the human condition.
