Kim Dingle: Pudgey Pomona Presents October 30 – December 18, 2021 Gallery III What do marbles, vintage erasers, maps painted by Las Vegas teenagers, and an atlas of animals have in common? Not much–but they are all subjects of interest to Pudgey Pomona, reference librarian, who has curated a collection of curiosities and collectibles, some by the hand of Los Angeles-based artist, Kim Dingle. Plus, Miss Pomona has also curated an exhibition of works by the artist Francesca Lalanne who is not a party to nepotism. The exhibition will be on view in the Library (located at Vielmetter Los Angeles) where Miss Pomona has set up shop and parked her lime green jaguar for an extended period of time (October 30- December 18 to be exact). When visiting the Library please be aware that Miss Pomona and assistant curator, Art Gum, have somewhat carefully organized the exhibition into distinctive sections: Maps & Atlases, Rubber & Erasure History, Antiques & Collectibles, Periodicals, Portraits, Monographs, and some other knick-knacks you’ll have to see for yourself. Also, take note that the reference desk will be accessible to viewers where Miss Pomona may or may not be working and she may or may not have left valuables on the desk along with a lot of candy in the drawers. The Library encourages Visitors to be quiet and mindful of the piles of various droppings in the environment. "Pudgey Pomona Presents" opens October 30th.
