On Earth Day, 4/22/22– A day to celebrate and protect our very own planet, interdisciplinary artist Kenny Irwin Jr., known for turning recycled materials into immersive art experiences, will be debuting his first L.A. based show titled “Recycled Media”. This exhibit offers a mixture of childhood favorites, from Storm Troopers to dragons, dinosaurs, and everything mystical and magical in between incorporated into his sculptures and assemblages, all made from recycled materials. In Recycled Media, Irwin incorporates the entertainment world into his work, a part of our daily consumption that tends to be poorly recycled and inevitably ends up in a growing nearby landfill. Irwin most notable immersive art experience resides in Palm Springs’ Movie Colony famously known as “Robolights”. His work has been showcased at MOCA Detroit (2019), The American VIsionary Art Museum (Baltimore, MD), the original Meow Wolf in Sante Fe, New Mexico.  Additionally, he has been featured on the Conan O'Brien Show, ABC’s “Great Light Fight”, an upcoming Discovery+ series, as well as many international television shows.
