Superposition Gallery is proud to present their forthcoming exhibition, A Love Letter to LA, the nomadic gallery’s first iteration of borrowed space in 2023. Taking place January 19- February 3, 2023 at Phillips Los Angeles, A Love Letter to LA curated by Storm Ascher is a homecoming show in honor of the gallery being founded in Los Angeles in 2018. Along with the artists spanning multiple generations from the 1930s to the present, Ascher and Superposition Gallery artists have curated excerpts from poems and literature by California luminaries such as Al Young, Wanda Coleman, Nipsey Hussle, Joan Didion, and Lynell George— which in unison play as Superposition’s love letter to Los Angeles. Phillips Auction House, the lead sponsor for the exhibition, opened its brand new space in West Hollywood at 9041 Nemo St. in partnership with the architecture firm Formation Association, and together designed 2,600 square feet of new gallery space. Phillips Los Angeles has officially opened and will debut their first year in Los Angeles with Superposition’s nomadic programming.
