Gana Art LA is pleased to announce the opening of Oh Su-Fan’s “Intent of Non-Intent,” with an opening reception on June 10th from 5 - 8 pm at Gana Art Los Angeles, 1142 Seward Street, Los Angeles. This solo exhibition will be Oh Sufan’s first here in Los Angeles which will showcase selected paintings from his Dialogue and Variation series in the 2000s and 2010s, as well as one from the Gokshin series in the early 1990s. Oh, formally trained in Eastern Calligraphy from his father, blends the elements of East Asian and Western philosophy into his abstract paintings. Oh’s work is focused on the purity of abstract form in that it is a visual practice of endless self-reflection toward the origin. He finds abstraction the perfect condition to express freedom of deviation and contemplate the coexistence between humans and nature. His work leaves obvious actions by his dynamic brushstrokes as evidence of the artist's existence, thus confirming his existence. RSVP: Info.ganaartla@gmail.com
