Ends Jun 13, 2023
On June 11-13, you’re invited to experience romantic rupture in Volta’s “SALT,” a multisensory performance involving taste, sound, dance, and poetry at 2220 Arts + Archives. Sammy Loren, director of underground reading series Casual Encountersz along with stand-up comedian and writer Ellington Wells reimagine Euripides’ iconic tragedy Medea, scored live by otherworldly harpist Melissa Achten. The immersive atmosphere of “dark mania” will seize more than eyes and ears, as the audience will be encouraged to sample edible installations by conceptual artist and chef Heidi Ross.
