Weird Rain brings together five artists exploring speculative modes of ecological coexistence. Each artist is acutely self-aware of their relationship with the built concept of Nature as other, and their work challenges, complicates, and blurs this binary. Brody Albert’s wall-embedded snails, laub and Jennifer Moon’s glass-blown enema bags and water filter, Spencer Longo’s graffiti-engraved hanging loofahs, Sarah Manuwal’s aluminum-printed alien houseplants, and Rob Reynolds painterly archiving of a disappearing glacier populate the landscape of Weird Rain.
