Half The Story: Self Portrait Workshop at LAMAG
4800 Hollywood Boulevard
Saturday, March 30 at 1:00 PM 3:00 PM
Ends Mar 30, 2019
Saturday, March 30, 1 — 3 PM A photograph of you might tell us what clothes you wear or how you look that day but it doesn't always tell the full story of who you are. Both artists in Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery's current exhibitions, David Alekhuogie and Mariah Garnett, appear in their work, but they are not always identifiable. These artists show that we can be perceived in numerous ways depending on the context. A picture is only ever half the story. Join the gallery to create a mixed media self-portrait that reveals more about your personality, your talents and your experiences than can be captured in a photograph. This programming supports Trouble, the first institutional solo exhibition in Los Angeles by artist Mariah Garnett and Gravity, a solo exhibition by David Alekhuogie, which are both on view at the gallery until April 14, 2019. LAMAG is located at 4800 Hollywood Blvd. For more information, visit www.lamag.org
