Mom’s Spaghetti brings together a selection of current works produced by students and curated by Young Chung of Commonwealth & Council. The show includes multimedia installations and performances by MFA candidates Brock Ailes, Ashley Beatty, Lorena Cruz Santiago, Finn Schult, and Jerika Tillman that highlight two years of studio work from a diverse group of students. Cranbrook Academy of Art is a top-ranked school devoted exclusively to graduate education. Under the guidance of Artist-in-Residence and Head of the Photography Department, Danielle Dean, the program’s artistic production and pedagogy encompass all technologies of image-making: still, moving, animated, digital, analog, and everything in between–including sculpture, performance, and other media.
