The ensemble arrives and arrange themselves on a covered terrace, daylight shifts over
them. I present to you a small collection of paintings in a room. A cast of object
characters that fit together like a puzzle and break apart like a stickle brick.
Their existence hinges on certainty. A cat a flame the knife the words. This object world
becomes all one substance. Wrapped in charged emptiness, a sense of bounty a sense of lack. It is a figurative discussion, their worth is illusory.
Dispense yourself a cup of coffee if you like, and feel a chocolate wafer shatter in your
mouth. Sit in the garden and wait for me. A breeze that cuts through your skin and sun
that warms. Back and forth through a city covered in desolation and glittering artifice. A
place that stops the flow of time like a brick. An embrace which disappears in the air.
