"Golden State of Mind" is a selection of limited edition photo prints by Olivia D’Orazi. The ongoing global pandemic has presented difficult challenges for many and has significantly affected how people spend time with each other under new limitations on social gatherings and travel. For D’Orazi, this unique moment in time has allowed her more space for introspection, fostering a deeper, more mindful connection with others and nature, as well as within herself and in her own art practice.

The colorful psychedelic imagery in D’Orazi’s digitally altered photos commonly depict vibrant flowers and foliage. In her recent work, there is an apparent shift in her perspective, as if she is looking up and stepping back to admire the larger landscape. The upcoming online exhibition encompasses D’Orazi’s admiration for the beautiful natural landscapes of her home state of California, from the desert lands of the Mojave to the enchanting rivers of the Sierra Nevada mountains, and from the magnificent coastlines of Big Sur to the majestic redwood forests of Marin. D’Orazi overlays bright colors and transposes multiple images to create a mystical atmosphere that evokes a sense of hope for humanity and the planet, and embodies the existential magic she feels while immersed in the beauty of these landscapes; an experience she calls a "Golden State of Mind".
