The Erotic Abject: Confronting the Taboo Sexualization of the Disabled Body
Friday, February 26 at 1 PM PST

The work featured in Tender Calamities focuses on the body-politics of illness/disability, and the oft-undiscussed role sensualization/sexualuzation plays in the imaging of illness and disability. Drawing from the work produced in Tender Calamities, exhibition artist Panteha Abareshi will discuss both the personal and expanded implications of the socio-sexual relationship we have to illness.

This program is free and open to all. Advance registration required.
