And the pandemic broke all our hearts because we don’t get to touch and hold and groom and care for each other for how we’d like to, so this is a sort of spell for that, with a quantity of stuffing and the appearances and disappearances, O Father-of-Flux, of three stand-ins, ghosts you’ve seen around before, through various translucent walls and such.” - Olivia Mole Olivia Mole is an artist based in Los Angeles who works with installation, objects, drawing, video, animation, performance and writing. She often reorients figures and material from popular culture in order to disassemble the values of social and historical power hierarchies. Ian Byers-Gamber is a Los Angeles-based artist and art documentarian. In both capacities, his work often involves producing visual archives for and around arts spaces. His photographs propose alternate ways of looking at existing archives while imagining new ones altogether. Riviera Parking is a project space located in a two-car garage in the Lower Riviera neighborhood of Santa Barbara. It is a temporary exhibition space which invites one artist to present one work over one weekend that was made during the COVID19 pandemic. The conversations and process from each exhibition will be presented on our website after the completion of the physical exhibition. This space is run by Niko Chodor and Alex Heilbron.
