LOS ANGELES, CA- Presented by LA UP Gallery, SEXPOSED is a community-focused art exhibition, featuring queer and LGBT+ artists. The presented works are focused on sex and sexuality, body-positivity, and the disruption of harmful societal dispositions surrounding abuse, harassment, and inequality. LA UP Gallery is committed to invigorating a fresh take on exhibiting by offering a communicative platform of solidarity through the intersectionality of art and activism. SEXPOSED aims to stimulate guests by catalyzing provocative conversation, and challenging biased ideas of sexuality through the queer-experience. SEXPOSED is curated by Exhibition Director, Colette von, who has a long history of activism through her presentations and gallery work. SEXPOSED supports the local community, and is donating proceeds to the LA LGBT YOUTH CENTER. Admission to the show is free, but donations to the nonprofit are strongly encouraged. In addition to the curated selection of art, SEXPOSED will include exquisite, hand-picked performances (Friday- Boy Untitled; Saturday- Mystery Guest!); a boiler-room peep show; artisanal, local vendors; and intimate experiences. A bar will be present, however, non-alcoholic beverages will also be available. All guests must be 21+, and must wear a Covid-compliant mask or face covering to the event. SEXPOSED will be held on Friday, June 25th and Saturday, June 26th at PSKAUFMAN, located through the alley at 113 E. 8th St. Downtown Los Angeles, 90014. Artists, fans, and guests will be gifted entry to the underground, hidden gallery located within the iconic designer boutique. To attend SEXPOSED, please RSVP through the LA UP Gallery website at LAUPGallery.com, Eventbrite, or LA UP’s Facebook page.
