"Moon Jars: Contemporary Translations" is Jane Yang-D’Haene's first solo show in Los Angeles. D’Haene works in stoneware, hand building vessels that draw upon her Korean heritage. This show is based around the traditional Korean ceramic form of the “dalhangari” or moon jar. Departing from the traditionally smooth white surface of the moon jar, D'Haene employs a variety of experimental glazes and techniques to create texture, movement and tonal shifts.
