Things Seen

Bringing together the work of David Abbott, Taylor Ervin, Will Gabaldón, Rema Ghuloum, Errol Sawyer, Peter Shear, and Yoab Vera, "Things Seen" is a group show that considers the distance—both real and imagined—that intervenes between vision and image in the experience of making and looking at art. By focusing on landscape, cityscape, abstraction—as the genres of 19th and 20th century modernism par excellence—the show hopes to re-pose the question of art's autonomy for artists working today.
