Dmst Atelier (DMST) invites you to attend our first Community Feed & Open Studio of 2023. The Community Feed & Open Studio programming is a social practice in which the founders of the space, Frannie Hemmelgarn & Marantz Moon, fellow artists and volunteers work together to activate the space and make art accessible to a diverse crowd utilizing the offer of free food and inviting conversation. This year DMST is expanding the Community Feeds & Open Studios by inviting fellow artists to participate and exhibit their works during the event. Prior to this year the open studio aspect focused solely on the art of Moon & Hemmelgarn. By including other artists in this programming, we hope to expand the DMST creative network, give other artists a platform to show their work in a gallery setting, and share a diverse array of art with our immediate and proximate community. This Saturday, we are featuring artist d Lynch, they have provided the following artists statement: Hello! My name is d, (they and she please!). I am a multi-media, mixed, queer artist who loves to explore relationships between ideas, materials, and technique. My practice is a generative process where new meaning emerges from intention through experiment. My work grows in reflection to the repetitions in nature and the constructed environment. I use my work as a language to describe the beauty and horror in the contradictions of this milieu. If you have any further questions in regards to the open studio and community feed please feel free to email us at dmstatelier@gmail.com
