¿WILD? is a public artist residency program developed collaboratively by Torrance Art Museum and the Madrona Marsh Preserve & Nature Center , and made possible thanks to the support of Torrance Art Museum Advocates, Friends of Madrona Marsh, and the City of Torrance. The residency hosts two artists a year at Madrona Marsh to interact with the Marsh, its researchers, and the environmtal issues encapsulated at the site and create a site-specific body of environmental artwork. The photographic weave series Katie Shanks created during the residency will be on display until October 1st. The reception will be hosted at the Nature Center 3-6pm Saturday June 3rd. Refreshments availble for purchase, profits will go to support the Friends of Madrona Marsh and projects to support future projects at Madrona Marsh Preserve and Nature Center.
