7414 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, CA, 90046
Nov 11,
6 PM - 8 PM — ends Dec 23, 2023
Tierra del Sol Gallery presents Taking Up Space, the inaugural exhibition in our new West Hollywood gallery and annual all Tierra group show. On view from Nov. 11 to Dec. 23, 2023, this exhibition invites every artist from our Upland & Sunland Studio Arts Programs to contribute a single 18 x 12 inch work of any medium. The exhibition’s title was created by the foundation’s artists and is a testament to the communal nature of the gallery and studios. Taking Up Space is a celebration of growth, and empowers artists to derive meaning and pleasure from making work that is impactful to one’s own community.
Tierra del Sol Gallery’s move to West Hollywood marks an important milestone in the organization’s evolution. Home to other important local and international galleries, the new neighborhood allows Tierra artists to exhibit work next to some of their best-known peers in the global art scene. Patrons and admirers of aesthetics recognize Tierra’s vital efforts to ensure the art world remains curious, generous, and inclusive. Taking Up Space heralds Tierra del Sol’s ongoing presence and increasing value across multiple communities as we strive to shape the landscape and equity in the commercial art world at large. Please join us for an opening celebration, Nov. 11, 6-8 pm.
