Kindly RSVP to rsvp@kpprojects.net to attend opening reception KP Projects is proud to present Gilded Horizon, featuring a mini-solo show by Audrey Kawasaki and accompanied by a group show with Johnny ‘KMNDZ’ Rodriguez, JP Neang, Jean-Pierre Arboleda, and Melany Meza-Dierks.Audrey Kawasaki’s characteristic female subjects exude a dreamy idealized beauty balanced by the intensity of their powerfully fixed gazes. Johnny ‘KMNDZ’ Rodriguez continues his iconic imagery of paintings filled with intricate birds freed from their cages that interact with animated, biomorphic robots. JP Neang’s tightly rendered compositions from her Chibi and Kazahana series exude a delicate floating movement with vibrant touches of color against the monochromatic graphite.Jean-Pierre Arboleda’s life-long passion for animals and nature grew to encompass topics that concerned issues of evolutionary change, environmental toxicity, and war. Melany Meza-Dierks questions perceptions of space and landscape with the subject matter emerging through geometric portals. Thematically tied with notions of balance, and duality, these works are portals that reflect subjects of mutation, and ideas of evolution as a result of personal technology’s constantly expanding influence.
