Taking into consideration the strange history of Walt Disney’s flirtation with cryonics, Molly Shea’s midres show at CalArts is an investigation into the unknown aftermath of cryonic freezing. By doing on-the-ground research at a cryo-therapy store front, the dying utopian society, Arcosanti, and the first cryonic freezing institute, Alcor; Shea’s installation is part speculative fiction and part documentary.The show will be open from January 8th- January 12th with a performance on the opening on January 11th.
