Katelynn Sullivan, Education Coordinator at the Aquarium of the Pacific, joins Gabriela MartÃnez, MOLAA’s Curator of Education, in an exploration of how scientists and artists approach the issue ofplastic pollution in order to inspire change. Sullivan discusses the research behind the causation of ocean plastics and the unintended consequences of our reliance on this convenient and durable material, while MartÃnez addresses how artists approach this topic through examples from Relational Undercurrents: Contemporary Art of the Caribbean Archipelago.
