There will be a time after Trump. A time after Muslim bans, bad hombres, border walls, fake news, Rocket Men, and Neo-Nazis marching in the streets. That era in form, figure, and content feels unreachable in the present since we are trapped near endless loop of “presidential” tweet storms and conspiracy theories. Presenting a series of paintings, works on paper, and hybrid creations that challenge established ideas about painting and national identities, the artists will intend to visualize what that future could look like.
