Show Gallery presents Nocturnal Visions by Javiera Estrada at their new contemporary art space in Hollywood. The exhibition includes new photographic works, sculptures, and a site-specific video installation by the Mexican-born, LA-based artist Javiera Estrada. Nocturnal Visions is a body of work inspired by the artist’s recent personal journey. Using water as a metaphor for human feeling; Estrada constructs an emotional landscape and paints it with a cloud of colored ink, representing the dark undercurrent in the depth of every person’s experience of life and love. Each photograph in the series depicts a different stage of love: hope, awakening, melting, addiction, chaos, devastation, surrender, and rebirth. The flowers, symbolic of beauty and purity, are captured during the moment of transformation as they interact with their surroundings.
