Join us for a reading and screening inspired by Claudia Rankin’s prose-poem Citizen: An American Lyric. Metropolitan High School students will respond to Rankin’s work with original poems written in collaboration with poet Vanessa Villareal and premier an animated short film produced in collaboration with artist Miwa Matreyek. Refreshments will be served. The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
