Conversation and song come together to echo the narratives presented in "How Sweet the Sound: Gospel Music in Los Angeles." Panelists include Dr. Margaret Douroux, composer and CEO of the Heritage Music Foundation, Rev. Calvin Rhone, recording artist and Los Angeles chapter representative of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, gospel musician Donald Webber, and Annette May, gospel singer and longtime friend of the late Rev. James Cleveland. The panel provides a historical narration of gospel music in Los Angeles combined with firsthand stories. The audience is invited to sing along, becoming an impromptu choir carrying the history from voice to heart.
