Stephen Towns: Rumination and a Reckoning.
At center of this exhibition, Birth of a Nation (2014) represents a Black woman nursing a white infant against the backdrop of the first official flag of the United States. The quilt will be surrounded by Towns’s Story Quilts.
Ramsess: The Gathering.
This focused exhibition brings together a selection of Ramsess’s quilted portraits including The Gathering (2012) which reimagines Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper (1495-98) as a memorial to Trayvon Martin.
