How does an artist not only sustain but GROW their practice in a city where even maintaining basic needs can be encumbering? This Creative Conversation delves into LA-based Artist Residence programs that support artistic practice by providing vital resources—such as housing, venue space, and professional development—to innovative and visionary creatives. Through discussion with leaders from 18th Street Arts Center and LA County Department of Arts and Culture we will explore the ways in which these programs contribute to the ever-evolving arts landscape of LA as well as serve as a catalyst for community-driven change. Moderated by Chris Tyler with panelists Jan Williamson, Marcus Kuiland-Nazario, Robin Garcia, and Sandra de la Loza.
