Join Art + Practice for a conversation with exhibiting artists Stephen Towns and Ramsess with curator Cecilia Wichmann. Towns, Ramsess and Wichmann will engage in a discussion centered on the themes of their exhibitions-'Stephen Towns: Rumination and a Reckoning' and 'Ramsess: The Gathering'–touching upon each artist’s journey into quilt-making; how they construct and deconstruct history in their work; and the meaning of place to their practices. This program is organized on the occasion of 'Stephen Towns: Rumination and a Reckoning' and 'Ramsess: The Gathering', on view at Art + Practice through January 25, 2020. 'Stephen Towns: Rumination and a Reckoning' and 'Ramsess: The Gathering' are presented by Art + Practice in collaboration with The Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) and curated by Cecilia Wichmann, the BMA’s Associate Curator of Contemporary Art.
