Panelists: Sarah Cain, Fran Siegel, Diana Thater, Shana Lutker Moderator: Stephanie Buhmann Los Angeles Studio Conversations (2019) is the fourth volume of an ongoing interview series conducted by art historian Stephanie Buhmann since 2013. With seventy conversations published to date, it aims to provide a permanent and growing forum for some of the inspiring female artists working today. All four panelists, who are featured in the new book, have worked extensively in the field of site-specific installation, albeit within different media: Diana Thater in video and film, Sarah Cain in painting, Fran Siegel in drawing, and Shana Lutker in various mediums. The artists will discuss their work in detail, as well as their experiences in creating exhibitions that are immersive and responsive to different architectural contexts.
