Please join Tiger Strikes Asteroid Los Angeles and Monte Vista Projects for the opening reception of our Holiday Fundraiser Preview on Saturday, November 16th from 7-10 pm. This exhibit features a broad range of work from collective members and artists who have shown in our spaces over the past year. All the works are part of a silent auction that ends during our Third Annual Holiday Fundraiser and Party on Saturday, December 14th from 7-10 pm (Save the Date!). Come to the Holiday Fundraiser Preview to start early bidding on your favorite silent auction item!
TSA-LA and MVP are financially supported and operated by artist-members. Fundraisers like this allow us to enhance our programming, and meet our mutual goal to provide opportunities for artists outside of our collectives while contributing to the Los Angeles art community.
The silent auction will include works by Carl Baratta, Johanna Braun, Debra Broz, Vanessa Chow, Rakeem Cunningham, Danny Escalante, Cait Finley, Roberta Gentry, Erin Harmon, Emily Blythe Jones, Kellan Barnebey King, J. Makary, Justin Michell, Chris Miller, Brittany Mojo, Michael Niemetz, Dakota Noot, Liz Nurenberg, Armando Ramos, Kari Reardon, Jackie Rines, Molly Schulman, Katya Usvitsky, Christopher Ulivo, Christopher Anthony Velasco and more!
Tiger Strikes Asteroid Los Angeles is artist-run collective that is part of a larger network of artists with locations in New York, Philadelphia, and Chicago. TSA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and since its founding in 2009, Tiger Strikes Asteroid has produced incredible artist-initiated exhibitions, artist talks and panel discussions on shoestring budgets. Because of TSA’s coast-to-coast reach, we are able to provide a structure for elevating new and underrepresented voices in a way that creates a true national network. TSA is a non-commercial, alternate model to the conventions of the current art market.

Monte Vista Projects is a Los Angeles based artist-run collective established in 2007. Through exhibitions, lectures, events, and performances, MVP serves as a place to share ideas and cultivate exhibitions that question existing artistic frameworks. Monte Vista Projects collaborates with local, national, and international artist-run spaces. We prioritize working with under-represented artists to broaden access to artistic discourse. In addition to curated shows organized by board members, exhibition proposals are accepted year-round.
