Kearney, who contributed to Halsey's 2018 Mohn Award catalogue and authored her current exhibition text, will read recent work that includes eulogies to footwear and X-hats, a protest funked through a body as drum-machine, and a polyvocal flashback of Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar performing 'Freedom' at the 2016 BET awards. . In advance of the event, a presentation of Halsey's new hand-carved gypsum engravings will be on view at the gallery this Saturday, February 29 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
