CLOSING TAKEOUT PERFORMANCE WITH DAVID HORVITZ & HEIDI RUSHFORTH Due to the current resurgence of COVID-19, the closing reception of David Horvitz's exhibition 'oceaean' will take the form of a food takeout service. A performance by Heidi Rushforth and David Horvitz will take place privately in the gallery courtyard where they will cook mussels in the éclade style from France, burning them over a bed of pine needles from the Tehachapi Mountains, invasive wild fennel from the Santa Barbara coast, and California redwood needles from Big Sur. The burn will take place during sunset which currently is at 4:45 pm. Mussels will be available to go only. Come and visit the exhibition for a few minutes and take away. No gathering will be permitted. Fresh baguette with fennel cultured butter and CBD chocolate chip cookies will be served. Bring your own glass for a glass of Ruinart champagne. For the closing, Horvitz has asked his friend Ariane Michel to screen her film 'SUR LA TERRE / ON THE EARTH.'
