For more information and to register, visit https://www.holocaustmuseumla.org/event-details/inside-the-acid-free-box-a-behind-the-scenes-look-at-stories-from-the-kindertransport Holocaust Museum LA presents “Inside the (Acid-Free) Box: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Stories from the Kindertransport,” Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 4 p.m. Led by Jordanna Gessler, the museum’s vice president of education and exhibits, and Christie Jovanovic, collection manager, the virtual tour, commemorating the 82nd anniversary of the first Kindertransport, will highlight the personal letters and treasured items the children took with them as they left their homes forever. Kindertransport (Children's Transport) was a rescue mission that allowed approximately 10,000 Jewish refugee children to escape from Nazi-occupied territory to Great Britain and other countries between 1938 and 1939.
