Saks graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and the Hochschule für Kunste, Berlin and is the receipient of numerous awards including Silkeborg Kunstmuseum, Artist Award, 2003, Niels Wessel Bagges Kunstfond, 2009 and the Kjell Nupen Memorial Grant, 2014.
