Lydia Takeshita, a pioneering figure in the Los Angeles art world, influenced generations of artists as a professor of art at Cal State LA. She founded LA Artcore in 1979 and directed it until her passing at age 92 in April of 2019. The Takeshita family has generously donated her extensive collection of rare books, art and ephemera that paint a portrait of a truly singular mind. All books will be for sale with proceeds benefiting LA Artcore's exhibit programming.
